Duxford Spitfire Airday - 13 Aug 2006

I went to this IWM Duxford Airday, with the Squadron. We got to see up close the Spitfire, have conversation with ex and current pilots of the spitfire and saw a fantastic display of the aircraft. We also managed to go around the museum which was very educational... a trip well worth going

oh wow was you able to like go in them and that ?!?! because you was a part of the ACO??? shame i missed that i was at camp =( next time!! if there is one

It was a fantastic day, you got to speak to the pilots... old and new. There was one Spitfire on display that you could get into. then you have the museum to which you could go and explore and again there where further talks in there.... then you had a flight simulator, to which you was in a Spitfire flight battling with the germans. There was also a tank display, to which you could go and have rides in. plus they also did a pleasure flight for a small price.... so overall, well worth the visit

I will be organising another visit next year to this and another airshow, but this time I will have a bit more planning time so as not to coinside with any other activities.
